Georgia Aquarium engaged Johnnie & Co. Events to recruit and sheppard restaurants for participation in its annual Aqua Vino wine and food fundraiser. They exceeded our expectations by recruiting 26% more restaurants for the event than we had ever had in its 12-year run, introducing new and exciting options for over 1,000 event attendees. Johnnie was amazing! She has gone above and beyond with every detail concerning my wedding. She had very creative ideas and even offered to do many extra things for me that wouldn’t necessarily be considered part of her job. Everyone was so surprised that I had planned a beach trip a week before my wedding, but Johnnie had taken care of literally everything so I enjoyed my vacation with no worries. Johnnie helped me save a ton of money by doing my flowers for me, which she did an amazing job at, and by doing some incredible calligraphy work for my decorations. She even brought a photo booth setup with props for us to use for the wedding. Johnnie was such an asset in making my dream wedding come true without the stress aspect and I highly recommend her!
Johnnie is exceptional. And I don’t use that word often. I hired her for balloons but when my husbands birthday party had to change locations with two weeks notice, she literally became my “angel”. In fact, that’s what I prefer to call her. She was prompt, organized, innovative, dialed into my every wish before I knew I had it, cost effective and incredibly responsive. I have already recommended her to everyone that will listen. No matter what the job—these skills will translate. I strongly recommend her.
We hired Johnnie as our day of coordinator for our wedding. COVID-19 made planning a wedding stressful, but Johnnie & Co. Events made it much less so. Johnnie and her team worked diligently prior to my wedding day to make sure everything went off without a hitch. She checked in with me (the bride) multiple times to see if she could help with anything. If you’re on the fence about a day-of-coordinator and are looking towards Johnnie & Co. Johnnie was the day coordinator for my wedding but her services went far beyond this! She was so helpful throughout the entire wedding planning process. Her communication was great and she brought so much kindness and professionalism to all her work. My wedding was a bit non-traditional, not at a normal wedding venue, and had lots of DIY aspects (so I know it wasn’t easy!) and Johnnie was able to successfully coordinate all that and pull off my wedding day in a way that left me as a truly joyful and stress-free bride all day!

What can I say? Without Johnnie, planning and executing my birthday would have been more trouble than I had the time or energy for. She called a bunch of venues to get pricing and availability on renting out space – she even traveled in person to the ones that were bad at returning calls to get their attention and get firm answers…that in itself saved so much time and effort for me. So, thanks to Johnnie for making a special milestone birthday party possible!

The wedding was so well-organized! I loved the clear, detailed communication from Johnnie all the way from booking through the wedding day and after. Everything was incredibly smooth and I received more detailed instructions than I have for any other event, which helped me to be extra prepared. The entire day was gorgeous and flowed very smoothly.
Johnnie…[made] sure that everyone and everything were where they needed to be when they needed to be there. She went above and beyond, and if there were any hiccups in our big day I didn’t (and still don’t) know about them. I don’t think you can ask for anything more. Johnnie went above and beyond to make our wedding day as seamless as possible! She stepped in far beyond her contractual obligations to ensure all of our needs were met and last minute changes were taken care of. She even spent time after our wedding day to make sure loose ends were finalized while we enjoyed our honeymoon! She is so sweet, communicative, and committed. I can’t recommend her enough for event coordination, especially weddings.
…We initially thought we wouldn’t need a coordinator, as we were keeping the wedding relatively simple (limited vendors, limited decorations, limited headcount [~100]). We decided to err on the side of caution and book Johnnies services as a “Day of” coordinator. All I can really say is I can’t believe how naïve we were. Even with our “limited” needs, it would have quickly overwhelmed us and become a full-time job, which we already had. Johnnie took control of coordinating with the vendors we booked, helping us put together the final timeline for the day-of, made sure the venue looked amazing, made sure we were taken care of throughout the whole day, and then worked with the vendors to ensure the venue was clean and that anything of ours was returned to us later. She is the bulldog you want in your corner should anything even slightly go amiss, because she won’t back down. She is also just a generally wonderful and kind person who puts you and your vision at the forefront of everything she does for you. If you are looking for a kind, competent, and creative coordinator, Johnnie is your girl. 5 out of 5 stars.
